'Seller Says'
What do you enjoy the most about living in this home: When you cross the bridge to Anna Maria Island and the Martinique North it is "instant vacation". As soon as you walk through the door you are transfixed by the breathtaking Gulf of Mexico view. Friends have said that when they walk in, the view makes them feel like they are on a Caribbean cruise ship. The rhythm of the waves draws you in and time seems to stand still. The condo is bright and spacious and has been a wonderful family gathering spot. Three generations have spent wonderful holidays and reunions here.
Things I like most living in this community: Living at the Martinique North is the perfect expression of the Old Florida life style. It is laid back and friendly. While it is a mid-rise building, there are only 61 condos in the building. It's two elevators and private garages make it easily accessible for all. A full third of the units are still owned by original owners or the family of the original owners. Even in season it has a quiet, relaxing feeling with its expansive powdery white beach, tennis court and Olympic size pool.
What improvements have you done to the home that the buyer would appreciate: The condo has been totally remodeled and reconfigured. Its triple sliding doors make possible the best of indoor/outdoor living. Closed they allow for unobstructed Gulf views that can be enjoyed in air condition comfort in the hot summer months. Open they permit refreshing Gulf breezes to fill the condo during the moderate winter months.
The remodeled open concept kitchen with its breakfast bar makes cooking a pleasant social experience. The full height dark kitchen cabinetry create an elegant but accessible atmosphere. Ample storage ensures that anything wanted is easily available so precious time isn't wasted running back and forth to stores.
All bedrooms have been remodeled to be large, comfortable private spaces that complement the two separate common family areas. Having two family rooms means that both kids and adults can gather independently and do their own thing or come together for a heated Monopoly game!
A relaxing steam shower, double vanity, and walk-in closet make the master suite the ultimate after beach retreat.
The jetted tub in the hall bath has worked out the kinks more than once whether they were the result of traveling or tennis matches.
The in-unit washer and dryer means one can throw the wash in and head to the beach or pool with no worries. Towels, etc, can go right into your own dryer and you're set for the next day.
Where do you shop: Almost anything one wants can be bought on the Island. The island Publix has great variety. Both CVS and Walgreens are within walking distance. Just a few blocks away there is a fresh fish market, post office, a "smart" clothing shop, two great stores with trendy casual clothes, two hardware stores, two home accessory stores, and a souvenir store where any visitor is sure to find the perfect remembrance.
Where do you dine: For special occasions the Beach Bistro can't be beat. For breakfast with that unique old Florida feeling Minnie's is our favorite choice. For great strawberry waffles, the Manatee Public Beach Restuarant is great. For open-air beach dining -- lunch or dinner-- we love the Sandbar. For Japanese delights, the Marina Ocean Star is terrific.
Tell us about other activities and or amenities that are around your home that you want a buyer to know about: Being at the Martinique North us about being outside at the beach or the pool. But just outside the building the free beach trolley stops around the clock. The trolley takes residents and visitors all around the island and up Long Boat Key. It goes to Historic Bridge Street, to Manatee Beach for nightly entertainment and Friday night Drum Circles, to the Public library, to Bean Point to see the protected migratory birds, to in-season gatherings for nesting of sea turtle walks, to the Bradenton Beach Farmers markets, to fun fishing off Anna Maria Fishing Pier, and even to Saint Armand's Circle for art fairs, good eats and shopping. Just four blocks away is a private marina. You can keep your own boat there or arrange for private fishing outings or day trips to Egmont Key. There is even an executive golf course on the Island just a five-minute drive away.
